None in the current text of 20-1057.11 as of 2026-10-21; SB 1590 (Laws 2025, Chapter 142) removed the former maximum insurance benefit cap on behavioral therapy for eligible persons 16 or younger. The section bars dollar limits, deductibles and coinsurance imposed 'based solely on the diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder', but subsection C permits generally applicable cost sharing.

Section 20-1057.11 bars exclusion/denial of autism diagnosis/assessment and medically necessary behavioral therapy (including ABA, DTT, PRT, intensive intervention and early intensive behavioral intervention); behavioral therapy must be provided or supervised by a licensed or certified provider. The individual or small-employer exception and the limited-benefit coverage exception are supported. The statute does not require coverage of services outside Arizona. SB 1590 was approved by the Governor on May 7, 2025 and became Laws 2025, Chapter 142; the earlier version of this section misread the introduced bill's deleted text as a proposal to impose caps. Treatment of self-funded plans is unverified; statutory silence does not establish an exemption.
